Expanding My Hub.. Hello Decorative Blends!

Decorative Blends Wreath:  Emily

Decorative Blends Wreath:  Bella

Decorative Blends:  Nia

Hello Friends! has been over 2 months since I have posted anything on  So much has been happening in my life.  I have been MIA but for good reason.  Some good and some not so good.  Sadly, I lost my Mom in July and I'm still working through the emotional struggles that come with her passing away.  It hit me hard and I miss her so much.

In the midst of all that has happened, the upside is that I have been working on, yet another business venture!  The blessing in all of this is that I am "bouncing back" and beginning to find my way again!  I've been working diligently on building up my product inventory for my new business, Decorative Blends and so pleased with the way things have been going.  I plan to launch this new site in the Fall of this year.

I will continue to share posts as I always have on and at the same time I've created a platform within the new site called the "Decorative Diary" to display photos, blogposts, décor tips & ideas, staging projects, online shopping portal where you can surf for custom home décor items to purchase, how-to DIY projects and "join me" workshops I'll be hosting via social media or live, on occasion! just celebrated 4 years online in August 2018 and I am so glad that I have this platform to vent my feelings and share my creative ideas with you.  "Thank you" for following so faithfully.  My social media following is not massive but more than enough...haha!  I have followers, so a big thanks from me to you if you are indeed one of them...LOL!

Follow me on for more to come and my launch expectations for Decorative Blends!!  Keep following because I've got some surprises coming your way at …..  I plan to offer some giveaways on both sites just for joining my new site in the Fall!!!

Much love and xoxo!

Talk to you soon....

My Thought For Today: Serendipity!

LOVE....A Serendipity Romance

Poetry by: Deborah Ramsey

Deep affection
It's crystal clear
LOVE is intense
when it appears!

Sometimes disguised
 a "blessing" for sure
LOVE with a substance
all you hoped for!

and creates a trail
"LOVE at first sight"
its a fairy tale!

"Finding forever"
feels like "destiny"
merely by chance

Making discoveries
all by chance
finding each other
 a SERENDIPITY romance!

I'm feeling kind of poetic today and wanted to share some words of LOVE with you. It's the start of summer and for some reason, I feel like its a time for spicing up romance in the marriage and taking time out to take a vacation, hold hands and simply kick back and relax with each other.  The sun is shining and the weather is warm, so why not take advantage of the few summer months you have to enjoy each other just a little bit more!

"Reminisce on the time when you both first met and let that be the serendipity serenade that plays in your lives forever..."

Have you ever seen the movie Serendipity?  It's absolutely one of my favorites.  I shared another movie with you in one of my past post that I enjoy just as much called Love Story.  Well, Serendipity is also a favorite of mine and I've seen it many times.  I love to watch it when I'm going unplugged and taking some time for me and I plan to watch it again this summer!

It's about two young people in their 20's.  Their names are Jonathan and Sara.  They met by chance in a city that never sleeps, yes, New York! He felt like their meeting was "love at first sight" and she believed in "destiny".  After 10 years and 3,000 miles between them, it could only be fate that would bring them back together again.

If you've never seen it, then I'm asking you to put it on your list of TOP movies to watch this summer!  It's love in the air and a magic kind of movie.  It has a sense of humor and it's serendipity romance all the way!!

Enjoy and Happy Summer 2018!

sliced roasted pork (Wegmans)
sliced pepperoni (Wegmans)
sliced genoa salami (Wegmans)
Honeycrisp Apples (Wegmans - the best!)
5 cloves of garlic (chopped)
Parmesan Reggiano Cheese in small cuts
sliced red onion (small)
lemon juice (from 1/2 of a lemon)
black olives, green olives, feta cheese cubes
olive oil

Spread my Honey Mayo Yo Spread onto both sides of your roll.  You can also drizzle a little on my ATA Chips (below). Stack your sandwich as high as you want with everything else.  Don't omit anything!!  The honeycrisp apple slices are what make this sandwich so delicious!  Add seasonings and drizzle with olive oil.  Mix olives with olive oil and oregano.  Add to sandwich as a topper or as a side.  Now add some of my ATA Chips either on top of your sandwich or as a side.

My Honey Mayo Yo Sandwich Spread (inspired by Rachel Ray's dressing for her Detox Salad....delicious!)

1 tablespoon raw honey
2 tablespoons olive oil

2 dashes sea salt
2 dashes black pepper
1/2 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise (will help thicken it for spreading)

1 teaspoon onion powder

Mix everything together and chill for 30 minutes.  Use this as your spread for your sandwich...IT IS SO GOOD!!!!

 ATA Chips (pronounced "atta")
A(avocado)-T(taco)-A(apple)  Chips

Avocado Chips
Taco Chips
Apple Slices
Garlic Powder
Italian Seasoning
Lemon Juice
Olive Oil

Mix avocado chips, taco chips and apple slices in a bowl.  Add garlic powder, italian seasoning and lemon juice.  Mix everything together and bake in tin pan at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.  Pour chips back in bowl and drizzle with olive oil.  You can also add some of my Honey Mayo Yo spread to them too for added flavor!
