All Natural Cleaning That Is Effective for Your Health Using Essential Oils!

Every now and then I like to post about all natural cleaning because it's really a subject that I like to not only talk about but research on.  Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been prone to getting head colds which led to tonsillitis and sometimes strep throat.  Bacteria is like a magnet to my immune system.  I get very sick when I come down with anything like sinusitis or the flu because I am so susceptible to germs in a way that it attacks my throat and I end up with a sore throat or laryngitis that requires major antibiotics and possibly, a short term dose of prednisone.  Yes, that's a dilemma I've never shared but one that tags me every 6 to 8 months.  A plague that is harder for me to shake off, the older I get.  Therefore, I am always researching natural products that I can clean with but at the same time, provide benefits for my health.

I found out some years ago how much lavender fights bacteria and aside from that, the smell is also great!  Lemon disinfects well also.  It's only natural for me to want to find the best ways to keep bacteria tamed especially since so much of the germs we come into contact with carry crazy bacteria and bacterial spores.  Many times, it's the things we have in our kitchen cabinet or refrigerator that can not only make use for good cleaning but are also safe for us, health wise.  I'm sharing some all natural tips and products that you can use to invite natural cleaning into your daily life.  There are so many good reasons for using natural products and for me, it's my health.

I'm sharing from some research I discovered that is fast, cheap and effective!  Real Simple Magazine shares these ideas on specialty natural cleansers.  I'm sharing the ones that are not only effective cleansers but effective for your health, as well.

1.  Mold and Mildew Remover (antibacterial and antifungal)
2 cups of water
2 teaspoons tea-tree oil
1/4 cup baking soda
Pour water and tea-tree oil into a 24 ounce spray bottle and shake well.  Spray heavily molded areas with solution and let sit 24 hours.  After that, pour 1/4 cup baking soda in small bowl and spritz it with the solution until glue-like paste forms. apply with toothbrush and rinse.  Why does this work?  Tea-tree oil is antibacterial and antifungal, so it wipes out mold and mildew!

2.  Vinegar and Vodka Disinfectant (inhibits growth of germs)
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup vodka
10 drops lavender essential oil
10 drops lemon essential oil
1 1/2 cups water
Pour all ingredients into a 24-ounce spray bottle and shake well.  Spray surfaces and let sit for 10 minutes. Wipe clean with microfiber cloth. Why does this work?  White vinegar and vodka inhibit the growth of germs.  The lavender and lemon essential oils are antibacterial and antiseptic.  Also, the scent of lavender helps relieve stress and boost your mood!

3.  Essential-Oil Cleanser (kills bacteria)
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
5 to 10 drops peppermint, lemon or orange essential oil
1 squirt natural dish soap
Pour all the ingredients into a 16-ounce spray bottle and shake well.  Spray onto the surface and wipe with a microfiber cloth. Why does this work?  Rubbing alcohol helps kill bacteria and is fast drying.  Natural dish soap is gentle and effective at removing dirt and grease.  The essential oil is antibacterial and smells good!
